Ingredients
1½ cups canned chickpeas (drained, rinsed, and dried)
¼ cup chopped red onion
¼ cup fresh parsley
¼ cup fresh cilantro
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp flour (or chickpea flour)
½ tsp baking powder
Spray oil (optional)
Directions
- Blend Mixture:
🔸 In a food processor, combine chickpeas, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, lemon juice, cumin, coriander, and salt. Pulse until crumbly but sticky. - Add Flour & Rest:
🔹 Add flour and baking powder. Stir to combine.
🔹 Chill mixture for 30 minutes (optional but helps shaping). - Shape Falafel:
🔸 Form into 1-inch balls. - Air Fry to Perfection:
🔥 Lightly spray air fryer basket.
🔥 Place falafel balls inside without touching.
🔥 Air fry at 375°F for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp. - Serve:
